John Paterakis of the local H&S Bakery originally purchased the majority of the land that Harbor East sits upon in 1986. It has come quite far since that time and in many respects has become a city within a city.
Just blocks from the Inner harbor and neighboring communities Little Italy and Fells Point, this trendy development has become an upscale residential and commercial locale. It continues to expand as a luxury destination with many fine dining, boutique shopping and luxury accommodation options. Directly next to Harbor East is the even newer development Harbor Point, which is home to Sandlot, a temporary beach area open during the summer months.
