This neighborhood’s roots can be traced all the way back to 1695, with the current size of 391 acres being achieved in 1875 and formally named Homeland. As with its two predecessors in Baltimore, Roland Park and Guilford, Homeland was designed by the landscape architectural firm The Olmsted Brothers Company. A wide range of building styles provides the neighborhood with its’ unique aesthetics. The Greater Homeland Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
